Kate has dedicated her entire legal career to the rights of children and parents. In various positions she has worked for the past 15 years representing children and parents who have become involved in the Dependency and Neglect system. She has been involved in over 500 cases involving substance abuse, sex abuse, domestic violence, mental illness and much more.
Kate started her legal career at the Arapahoe County Attorney's office as a paralegal assisting attorney's in Dependency and Neglect, Mental Health and Probate cases. Leaving there she went to Gonzaga University School of Law and was involved as a CASA and chair of the juvenile law club. After graduating and becoming licensed in the State of Colorado Kate went on to be a Guardian ad Litem and Respondent Parent Counsel in numerous jurisdictions in the metro area.Kate's unique perspective comes from working on all sides of child protection issues.
